I’m a Michigan City-based artist, gallery owner, and educator with a passion for helping build creative community through the arts. I operate both The Rising Phoenix Gallery and The Glass Phoenix, where I focus on showcasing regional artists, teaching lampworking and glass art techniques, and creating welcoming experiences that encourage people of all backgrounds to engage with creativity. I enjoy collaborating with other artists, organizing exhibitions and events, and helping make the arts more accessible and community-driven.

The Rising Phoenix Gallery is a community-focused contemporary art gallery located at 2817 Franklin Street in Michigan City, Indiana. The gallery features rotating solo and group exhibitions from local and regional artists, hosts opening receptions, and provides opportunities for emerging and established creatives to share their work with the public. In addition to exhibitions, the gallery offers educational art experiences and hands-on lampworking classes through The Glass Phoenix. The Glass Phoenix specializes in handcrafted glass art, live demonstrations, and torchworking education. Through classes, demonstrations, and exhibitions, the business aims to inspire curiosity, creativity, and appreciation for the craftsmanship involved in glass art. Together, both organizations work to strengthen the local arts community while creating engaging cultural experiences for visitors and residents alike.
hobbies/favorite pastime
One of my favorite pastimes is bringing people together through storytelling and creativity. I enjoy running tabletop roleplaying games like Dungeons & Dragons, where I create immersive worlds, adventures, and collaborative experiences for friends and community members. I also enjoy building websites, apps, and creative digital projects that combine technology with artistic problem-solving. Outside of the studio and computer, I’m an enthusiast for nature and enjoy hiking, biking, and exploring the outdoors whenever I can. I find a lot of inspiration in both creative worldbuilding and the natural world, and I enjoy finding ways to blend imagination, craftsmanship, technology, and community into both my personal and professional life.
