About Linda & Jim

Jim and Linda Winegar have been creating with clay for over 50 years. Their pottery studio is located in a beautiful rural setting, just outside of LaPorte, Indiana.

They are both graduates of Indiana University of Pennsylvania, with degrees in art education. Their studies at IUP, with potter and professor Frank Ross, began their lifelong adventures with clay. The Winegars produce a variety of functional and decorative clay pieces, from utilitarian items such as vases, bowls, platters, mugs and dinnerware, to more decorative objects such as large floor pots and one-of-a-kind carved & embossed vessels with precious & semi-precious gemstones as adornments.

Much of their recent work has included the addition of hand-formed oak leaves and acorns, reflective of the beautiful rural setting of their home & studio. Most of their clay pieces are created on the potter’s wheel and fired to 2300 degrees. Their pottery has been represented in shops and galleries throughout the United States.
