My family and I have resided in Ogden Dunes, IN for the past 14 years, and I am married to my husband, Aaron, for 25 years. Our oldest daughter attends Purdue University and is majoring in Animal Behavior & Wildlife Conservation. Our younger daughter is attending Northern Michigan University for Cannabis Operations and Management. Our son will be starting his senior year at Chesterton High School. I have been in the Beauty Industry nearly my entire life and grew up in a salon. Shortly after finishing cosmetology school, I was hired on at the most exclusive salon and spa, at the time, The House of Bianco. There, I really dug into learning spa services, including waxing. Waxing soon became my service of choice. Self-taught, I was the first to offer Brazilian waxing outside of Chicago long before the service became popular. After having children, I no longer could manage a salon schedule. I thought my career time was over, however my clients just wouldn’t let that happen. I began visiting a handful of clients at their homes for waxing. I had no idea how popular my home visits would become. After 4 years it became The Waxi Taxi. What started with about 12 dedicated clients has grown to well over a thousand between my associate and me. My business has afforded me the time I needed to raise my children, the opportunity to volunteer and the financial stability to send them to college. Plus, I have met the most amazing people in the process. I couldn’t be more grateful!
