Linda Cripe

I grew up being a Tomboy as I spent much of my time with my older brother. Naturally, he was not excited about this since he was 7 years older than me. I have always loved nature and was fortunate as a child to have woods behind our house, and a large neighborhood to roam and explore. I am sure this is what started my adventures in life. My mother always told me that I was the one that everyone called to talk to about their problems. Thus, my career path of jobs serving the public, began while I was still in grade school providing free therapy. From there my path led me to being a Lifeguard, US Army Military Police, IUPUI Police Department, LaPorte County Police Department, and 28 years with the Department of Child Services. The most amazing job I have is being a mother and grandmother, (and wife most of the time)!

My creative side also began at a young age. My mother taught me to knit and my father to use my hands, change tires and motor work in my car. I have won several 4-H ribbons both as a child and adult. My biggest problem with crafts is that I have to have everything at once and then keep it until needed again. Walking the beach with my daughter and her showing me how to find beach glass is what started me looking and researching about beach glass, rocks and then on to crystals. I love what I am doing now with crystals and herbs trying to increase my knowledge on a daily basis. This is the information that I love to share with people who venture into my booth at markets.
