There was never a time I can remember that I haven't been creating something. Even as a child I found multiple places to seclude myself and allow my artist mind to run free. I studied film production and graphic design at Indiana University, then built out my own design boutique for 8 years. After the recession, I transitioned into teaching Art to elementary students and have done so for the last 14 years. My entrepreneurial spirit then developed DIY Art Studio in 2018 as a means of extending the four walls of my classroom. It helped me develop online art lessons and art subscription boxes that furthered my ability to educate creative minds in fun ways.

All of the diverse experiences in the Arts, education, business ownership, fundraising, and event planning led me to the role of Executive Director of VCC. There is an ambitious vision in tackling the build-out of a Creative District and I have found that all of my previous seasons enriched the soil for this growth to be possible. The Arts provide so much more for communities than we can measure. Increasing the quality of life and supporting creatives of all kinds, is a personal passion of mine. I am honored to be in a position where I can do just that.
